Newport Green, on Kodak Gold

A quiet afternoon between Newport and Hoboken, where summer pauses in the sand.

Every summer, Katya and Theo visit.

We walk to the playground near the white head—Water’s Soul, as it’s officially called. The sand is warm, shallow, scattered with plastic buckets, forgotten shoes, and sunlight.

The kids play. We watch.

I take a few frames on film.

That’s all.

But it’s become a kind of tradition.

A quiet, sandy ritual in the middle of the city.

Shot on Kodak Gold, 35mm.

Because sometimes, summer looks best when it’s a little grainy.
