Late August, at Home

An at-home family session in Jersey City

On the terrace, late summer light folded itself across their faces and bright laughter. The children leapt on the trampoline, their joy rising higher than the glass walls around them. Kristina, her daughters, her son, and their grandmother—three generations of love gathered in one place.

There was a sweetness in those hours, the kind that belongs only to family: a hand steadying a child, a burst of laughter that lingers, the soft comfort of being together.

Photographs can never hold all of life, but they can catch its glimmers. And here, in late August, there was light enough.

This session, like all my work now, was photographed on both digital and 35mm film. The film is my quiet companion—tender, imperfect, and luminous—like memory itself.
